Satoshi Date will provide you an interactive fashion exhibition this London Fashion Week. This is a new way of approaching art and clothing.
We are going to help you breathe new life into your old dreary clothes. Come and bring your former fashion favourites and we will help you customise or rework your clothes into something you'd proud of again.

You're welcome to get involved as much or as little as you like.
There will be additional clothes and fabrics on hand so don't worry if you don't manage to bring anything.

Additional Work shop -PRINTING, KNITTING and SEWING-
You are welcome to bring your items such as T-shirt, bags, wallet, anything you can print on, then you can screen print our Satoshi Date Original Design (see the sample image below) at the exhibition. You can purchase plain t-shirts that we stock on the day. You can also experience felting, knitting and sewing at the event.

Concept: ‘Alchemist’s Mind’
As we live our lives we pick up things along the way such as experiences, beliefs and relationships. Sometimes we can feel these things as burdens that we carry. At the time these feelings may seem indispensible but as time goes by they become redundant; perhaps these are things that limit us in some way. Often we try to ignore these emotions or reject them but they remain with us; they have become intertwined with us and there will always be a part of us that feels unloved.
What if we can take these things, adapt them and create an organic form; something that is useful and beautiful; something that we can embrace, accept and love?

War and Horse　戦争と馬 in English/ 日本語２０１１－１２－０６

Went to see the War Horse(theatre)
Was nice to see the big horse made by wood and acting by people’s hands and legs, but at the end I like the little duck puppet controlled by a man and he mimic the duck sound at the same time the most. The story is normal, without these man made horse.. it is normal story. I found out one thing, there is always human drama in war story… or any story of the book, theatre or films. Especially in entertainment ones. Like woman screams or man jealous, young boy cries… it seems like human being never evolved… I do not want to see this for 1000years later. I want people to get evolved. I know that is dramatic and good for stories, but are we really doing the same things over and over again? The world in 3000years later, Typical masculine guy hit the wife and daughters run away from their house? I know that is not common situation in our lives, but if this story exist forever in art works, do we change? Or we might think in the future, oh we used to be so silly and inhuman like before…

I also feel this because I travel Asia and here in Europe. There are some typical things going on each countries and never change.

ワーホース(劇)を見に行く。木で作られた巨大な馬が人間の手や足で演じられるというのは実にみてて楽しかった。けれど結局は小さなアヒルの人形が人によって操られその人がアヒルの声を真似しながら歩くのが一番印象に残った。ストーリーも普通で、馬がなければただの普通の話だ。ただ一つ気付いたのがこのような戦争の話、いやどんな小説や映画や劇でも、いつも典型的なヒューマンドラマが繰り広げられる。女性が叫んで、男が嫉妬をして、子供が泣き叫んで…　人間は成長するのだろうか？ドラマティックで確かに観る方は楽しめるのかもしれない。ぼくらは常に同じことを繰り返しているのだろうか？3000年後の地球では、典型的な筋肉質な男が妻に暴力を振るい、娘が家をでるのだろうか？勿論それが共通のぼくらの人生の1ページとは思えないけれど、こんな話が永遠に作品の中でくりひろげられるのなら、ぼくらは一体進化していくのだろうかと不安に思う。それとも未来のぼくらは、むかしはこんなだったんだな。というだろうか？
アジアとヨーロッパを行き来する自分にとっては典型的なもので変わり行かないものが常にそれぞれの国に存在するように思える。

Nov 25th

We went to have a breakfast, there was a Scandinavian couple. I translated how they serve food by themselves, as the people in the canteen cannot speak in English. The strange man we met yesterday come to the canteen. After he has finished eating, he started talking to the couple, “Biking Biking” I just thought what is he saying? Maybe something rude… As his English was terrible, I didn’t and they didn’t really understand what he wanted to communicate… A girl of the couple was looking at her boyfriend and seems she didn’t know what to do. He said at the end “ I am Pirates!”…. and he disappeared from canteen…
I felt sorry for the couple and we started talking to them. Trying to approach that there are not so crazy Japanese here. They came from Denmark, and they are architect. He wanted to see Tadao Ando’s architecture. We talked about “Nageiredo” and they started being interested in seeing it. We recommended to come to Tottori next time they visit to Japan.

We missed the bus. So we had to carry very heavy(10kg mine) luggage to do sightseeing. Went to Chichu museum. www.benesse-artsite.jp/chichu/
This was the first time to feel Tadao’s work, so I was quite happy. I got some inspirations, but I had been thinking what I can do if I am an architect.
Talked with the staff who I know.

After the museum we left the luggage at the ferry port, then we hired the bicycle, we went to the art village, saw a couple exhibitions. Reminded me the echigo tsumari triennale www.echigo-tsumari.jp which I joined the project long time ago. There were many installations in the traditional Japanese houses, but I was not so inspired from them. Went back to the port. Mr.Y.A got Takoyaki and Takorice for me, we left at 2:55pm from Naoshima. 　I started travel to Mino, very strange trains, students look like boys and girls from 50years ago… took 6 hours to get to Mino. The owner of the inn picked me up, Went to the supermarket, no one was there. Bought rice bread, chicken and pudding… like a big supermarket in London but no one.

Arrived at Kominka(old house). The owner told me, he does kayak. He told me that it is quite popular in England, but it is very popular in America. Interesting to hear that riding on the river is talking to the nature, and using the power of the nature… all the energy coming to us is created by conversation between the nature and us.

He started to run business which just rent out the room for visitors to this village, so he can do kayak everyday without worrying about money. I thought it is interesting way of living. The house was very old and I could hear everything form downstairs.

Nov29th

Back to Tokyo met a buyer at Daikanyama. Talked about my works.
Met a girl who is my supporter. We met on facebook and I decided to see her. She does volunteer at Minami Souma-shi(where the earthquake had hit) . talked to me about her background and her ex boyfriend.
Went to Bunka academy to buy some tools with her. Went to see H.K and E.T my staff in Japan. Had a dinner with three of them.

Nov30th
Couldn’t see Y.S somehow. After that meeting with Y and O at Ebisu. At Ebisu Yokocyo. Somehow the supporter I met last night came to the table next to us.

Dec 1st

Having a class at Minato ku Aoyama primary school. Talked about better to go outside of Japan and see the world, and they have a power to change everything. They listened to me carefully. There was a cute black girl in grade 6. Strange to talk about the world and cosmopolitan city (London) in front of her, as she might already feel and know about it.

Dec 2nd

Leaving Japan.
A Japanese accountant was next to me in the airplane. He told me that he was working for 40years. The same job and same place.. I was like wow… the ladies next to him were amazingly from the same primary school as mine. We talked about our teachers…
It’s very strange to talk with someone has retired and has skills. They say “now we are going to enjoy the rest of my life” There is no goal, any passions. They have skills and can do many things, but they do not have any energy to use them anymore. 　
At this time trip, I saw an old man selling and baking Goheimochi. In the countryside, old people work like that, they have a job. It seems like an opposite world to modern city where there was no place to the old people. Of course, there are no young people in the countryside so the old people have to work instead of young ones, but this environment in the suburb creates a beautiful atmosphere.

11月25日

朝ごはんを食べに行く。北欧系のカップルが現われる。ごはんのよそい方など、味噌汁がお代わり自由など食堂のおばさんが英語が出来ないので、ぼくが説明をする。この前あった不思議なへんなおっさんが現れる。彼が食事を終えた後、片言の英語で西洋人のカップルに話しかける。「バイキング、バイキング。。。」　なんか失礼なこといってんじゃないのかな、と思う…　彼の酷い英語でなにをしたいのかわからず、カップルの女性はすごく困ってそうな顔をみせる、でもカップルはとても人がよく、ちゃんと応対していた。「I am Pirates!（オレは海賊ダー）」とかなんとかいってそのおっさんは去る。
もうしわけないので僕らは話しかけ、へんな日本人ばかりじゃないよとアピール。どうやらデンマークからの建築家のようで安藤忠雄の建築物を研究に来たようだ。投入れ堂について話してあげ、こんどは鳥取に是非とはなす。

バス乗り遅れる。
直島観光。3時間ほど10キロの荷物をしょって歩く。地中美術館に行く。www.benesse-artsite.jp/chichu/　安藤忠雄の作品に触れるのは初めてだったので嬉しかった、インスピレーションをうけるが自分ではどの様な建築をつくるか頭の中で思いをめぐらせる。
知り合った美術館で働く人と話をする。
バスでフェリー乗り場に荷物を預け、自転車で急いでアートの村へ、２，３見る。新潟のトリエンナーレ

を思い出す。趣のある古い日本の建物にアートインスタレーションがほどかされている感じ。これといって印象は薄かった。　港に戻る。たこ焼きとたこ飯をY.Aさんに買ってもらい、2時55分のフェリーで出る。
とても不思議な電車に乗って行く、田舎の学生たちが50年前の学生に見える。9時前に美濃市駅に着く。約6時間の旅。宿泊地のオーナーが車で迎えに来る。スーパーによる。だだっ広いが誰もいない。米パン、から揚げ、プリンを買って帰る。ロンドンのスーパーのようだ。

古民家につく。川の音がする。あたりは暗い。オーナーの方がカヤックについて語ってもらう。イギリスが実は盛んで、アメリカがトップクラス。自然の力をつかって漕ぐ、自然の力なしでは漕いでいくことは不可能というところがおもしろかった。すべてのエネルギーは自然との対話で生まれるものだと感じる。彼の彼女が日本代表だそうだ。
カヤックを毎日できる環境をかんがえて仕事をやめて古民家を貸して生計を立てているようだ。おもしろい生き方だ。かなりボロイ作りですべて声がつつぬけだった。

11月29日

日本に帰って13:30に代官山でバイヤーと会う。ぼくの作品について語る。
その後Facebookであった、ぼくのサポーターに会いに行く。スタッフのEさんをKさんと会う。3人で飲む。

11月30日

会おうとしたY.Sさんと会えず。その後YさんとのMeetingを。
恵比寿にてOさんと会う。恵比寿横丁。昨日会ったサポーターさんとばったり会う。
　
12月1日

港区青山小学校にて授業。外に出ること、君たちが世界を変えると告げる。みんな真剣に聞いてくれる。6年生に黒人の子がいた。イギリスは多民族だってことを彼女の前に話すのは不思議に思えた。

12月2日

飛行機で元会計士の隣に座る。40年間も同じ仕事をしたと、とても日本的な話を聞く。となりの彼と同じツアーの二人の女性が僕と同じ小学校に通っていた人達だった。ぼくより年上だったが、先生の話などとても偶然な出会いと会話をする。リタイアをした人達と会話をすると不思議なきがする。あとは人生を楽しむだけ。お金をもうけることも、とくにやりたいゴールもない。ぼくはそうなるのだろうか？技術を持っていて色々できるのに、それを使う気は全然ないのだ。今回の旅で五平餅を売っているおじいさんがいた。田舎では年寄りの方もこうして仕事をしている、仕事がない、年寄りには行き場がないと感じる都会とは正反対であった。勿論若者がいなくてお年寄りが仕事をせざるを得ないところがあるのかもしれないが、雰囲気がよい田舎町になっている気がした。

We have a plan to make new dressing products, so we have ordered many different existing dressing in Japan for tasting. Went to the café restaurant Ageha which run by Yoshimi Tanikawa

In Kurayoshi. 　Met owner of café I went ( I mentioned before) and other shops in Akagawara , Shirakabe Area. We have talked about possibility in there, we agree to work together in near future. They asked me to play my music there, and the owner really liked : )

Many memories just were passing all at once. I used to come to this beach many times, when I was child. To see my grand pa. And I was so sad not to go there when it was cold or rain. My dad always ask the guy in the car park. “How much will it be?” with his Tottori accent. And he negotiate to give us a discount. It was quite curious for me to see my dad completely as a different person. Tunnels scared be when I was child. And that tunnel… I always wonder what is there when I pass the tunnel. We’ve passed the tunnel from the otherside from the seaside. I went to Tottori Sakyu(dune). The sightseeing place was not crowded at all.

Strange man approached to us. “Do you want me to take you to the centre? I am quite free” Got a business card from him, on the back of card. It is written “deep water tools,,, deep water equipement…” I didn’t know what his job…
We went to the public bath. It was not onsen(hot spring). With Y.A. Drunk near the public bath. Took only cab in the island from only convenient store in the island. Inside pao was quite hot with heater.

11月24日
予定より遅れて直島に出発。
投入堂　にいく。　かなり寒い。管理の人か見回りの人なのか作業服を着たひとがいろいろと説明してくれた。映画かテレビのドキュメンタリーのワンシーンのようだった。「人が何人も死んでますからね。危険ですよ、この時期は。いまレスキュー隊が訓練しに行きましたよ」

間に合わないので車で鳥取へついでに鳥取観光。東郷湖に寄る。小さいころ毎夏遊びに来た白兎海岸を通過、たくさんの思い出は一瞬で通り過ぎる。祖父を訪ねに子供の頃のよく来た。雨や寒い日は海にこれなくてとても残念がった記憶がある。いつも父親が「なんぼになりますか？もうすぐ帰るからまけといて」と白兎海岸の向かいにありトンネルの近くの駐車場のおじさんに土地のなまりでまけるのが不思議でしょうがなかった子供のころを思い出す。トンネルというものは僕にとって怖い存在だった、だから向こう側が何があるか不思議にいつも思っていた。そのトンネルを逆側から通り抜ける。砂丘をみにいく。観光地は意外と寂びれていた。

直島で唯一のタクシーを唯一のコンビニから予約して乗る。

パオはヒーターが効いて暑いぐらいだった。

Christmas Time ・クリスマスタイム　in English / 日本語　2011-12-23 -001

I love the feeling of Christmas, although this is kind of religious thing, sometimes we should appreciate what we have given from our culture and tradition. It is no longer about Jesus Christ for some culture anyway.

The feeling during Christmas I receive especially in Europe is warm and relax. I also feel respect and holy atmosphere. The most important gathering for a family in a year in Europe, and I like the fact that it is in winter. People might be feeling weak or down, but this event make us warm. I remember I visited English family a couple times in the past. I even went to small church to sing Christmas song… Everybody is calm and respect each other. Hope all the criminals relax and receive beautiful presents from people, and then they realize that they do not have to steal or break anything.

僕はクリスマスの時期がとても好きだ。宗教の行事だけれども僕らは伝統や文化が生み出したものを快く感謝しなくてはいけないと思う。もはやキリストがどうとか関係がなく祝っている人がほとんだなのだし。

ヨーロッパのクリスマスはとても暖かくてリラックスしている。神聖でいて尊重する雰囲気を感じる。ヨーロッパの家族たちにとって最も重要な集い。そしてそれが冬に行われるところが好きだ。寒くて心が弱くなっているかもしれないときに、僕たちを温かくしてくれる。前にイギリスの家族にお邪魔したことが何度かあった。小さな教会にいって聖歌を歌ったときもあった。みんな落ち着いていて人を尊敬しあう日。犯罪者たちもリラックスして素敵なプレゼントを人から受け取っていることを願う。そうしたら彼らは誰かのものを盗んだり壊したりすることを忘れるだろう。

沢山の愛を皆さんへ。

Went to piano concert of my friend from primary school. Met two friends from pianist from the same school, I also have seen my friend from the same school who launch his own company (interactive design) He wants to work with me. Had a lunch with him.

Dentist at 10am.
Went to Matohu shop in Omote Sando, I met the designer in London, so I had an appointment to talk with the designers. They seem very successfu

l. Interesting atmosphere in the shop.
Ate some Japanese snack which shaped into Matohu’s logo.
They gave us a ticket of Kanjiru Fuku Exhibitions, so I went later. We talked about Professor N from Kyoto Zokei Uni, as they made a magazine which my interview includes.

Move to Nagoya,
Met Satomi Harada (ethicalist) http://satomiharada.com/ We had a nice conversation and she loves what I do. She is interesting buying my products for sale at her shop.
Went to Nagoya Fashion College. Talked with Princiapal and one of their staff. They said the fashion student don’t have so much motivation nowadays. I will have a lecture in April 2012

My friend and also Art Director of Nagoya Dentsu Shinpei Takashima. We studied at the same art school in Tokyo. There are 30 people working in Nagoya Branch and 15 are art directors.

At Tottori. I got to change the train many times. Made me feel nostalgic as I used to visit my grandpa in Summer when I was little. Went to Kurayoshi. Very old fashioned train. I saw the most respectful woman R since 20years ago. She showed me Shirakabe(place). It was a bit chilly. The lunch had been finished at the most of places. She told me our emperor visited this place a while ago.
Talked many things with her. After lunch, we went to Akagawara Gogoten Kura（http://r.tabelog.com/tottori/A3102/A310201/31000284/） with R
You can grind with a stone mortar by yourself in this café. About 3422m away from Kurayoshi station.
We went to Misasa(hot spring place and where I stayed) by car. Made me feel going back to the past when I see “Nude” sign on the strange hot spring place… I didn’t know what it is.. say good bye to R. Ryokan(Japanese style hotel)’s staffs have a strong accent.

In the morning, met with T.F who is sculptor. Had a lunch with her at Shirakabe club(which used to be a bank) , Y came there to pick me up.
Lecturing at Tottori Tanki uni. Met funny design teacher. He keeps giving me a compliments and have a nice smile and cute waving hands to us…

下北Vizzにてワークショップ　5時から7時まで.
幼馴染のYと会う。とにかく健康に気をつけてと彼はいつもいう。心に伝わる言葉。成功よりも健康で生きていることがなにより大事だと思う。

小学校の同級生のY.Uのランチコンサートに行く。彼女の演奏を聞くのは初めて。そこで学園小学校（Satoshiの小学校の姉妹校）の女性二人と、同じ小中高一緒の男性に会う。
かれはインタラクティブデザインの会社を起業。一緒に仕事をしようと会話が弾む。食事を一緒にする。

2011･11･17
10時歯医者
14時ごろMatohuの直営店に行く。とても落ち着いた雰囲気のお店。場所も表参道のおもしろい場所にある。
スタジオが上にありアポをとっていたので下にデザイナー二人が降りてきて来てくれて話をする。ロンドンのボラ・アクスの下で一緒に働いていたときにお会いしてそのときレーベル立ち上げについて話していた。
毎回いろいろなProjectを職人としたりや伝統技術を伝えるなどやっている。Matohuのロゴでできたお菓子を頂く。

名古屋ファッション専門学校の教務と校長と話す。ファッション専門学校業界の事情を聞く。最近の生徒はやる気がない。自分をださないとのこと。
4月の講演について合意。

電通の名古屋支部のアート･ディレクター高嶋新平と会う。彼とは予備校が同じで後輩にあたる。

この日１４時、吉祥寺の歯医者で手術。左下の親知らずを抜く。抜いて2時間後ひどい痛みがはしる。その後、２週間ちょっと痛み止めなしでは過ごせなくなる。これからしばらくの間は病気になったように家で休養をとる。

新宿でスタジオ貸しのマネージングをしている人と会う。昔服飾で働いていたため、ぼくのビジネスに興味を持っているよう。

その後、新宿でロンドンの元フラットメートでファッションデザイナーの女性、ほか偶然ミハラ・ヤスヒロで働く韓国人の職人、建築照明兼リノベーションデザイナー、元アシスタントでファッションデザイナーの女性と会合。

メインは演劇の作品を作り、新宿の3丁目のアパートで仕事をしているお針子さんと会う。とても感じの良い方。

その後ヨシエイナバのパターンナーで元ロンドンのアシスタントと会う。。

港区青山小学校の校長と面会。11月の終わりに5,6年生にクラスを行うことに合意。
その後僕の妹分と会う。
元劇団四季の女優にヴォイストレーニングをしてもらう。
その後渋谷の串屋で日本のアシスタントS.Sと会う。

I had a meeting with Mr.Y.A. Talking about me staying at Tottori at the café in Ginza. He bought for me a Japanese plum jam as tea in the café. We went to Udon restaurant after that. At around noon, Mr.Y.A. has to go to the walking event in Saitama, so we said good bye.

Introduced by Mr.Y.A. I went to see a staff of Porter Classics. He runs the antique / vintage shop which most of the items are collected by Mr. Yoshida. He told me that he will say hi and give my catalogue to Mr. Yoshida later.

I was having some interviews to new staff with H.K(staff in Japan) in Shinjyuku, but no one came, then we went to the Hub (Shinjyuku South Exit). Did interview there with T.N and S.A. they are coming to UK around January or February. S.A bought my brooch. Then I met my supporter K.S. Journal photographer Satoru Niwa www.satoruniwa.com, an assistant buyer of ZozoTown(zozotown.com) Y.N (my ex assistant) , A photographer Joni, A.F my staff in Japan.
That night, Mr. Y.A called us that all the bottles of Nashi-dress which Satoshi Date produced had been broken when they are shipping to Tokyo. We were supposed to sell these next day. Mr.Y.A. wanted to come for drink after this disaster, but he could not make it. H.K was going to sell other products to support Mr.Y.A.

Tottori Project のMr.Y.Aさんと面会。銀座のカフェで鳥取での予定の打ち合わせ、自分が風邪気味というとそこで売っているお茶になる梅ジャムを購入してくれる。その後うどん屋にいき一緒に食事をする。12時ごろ、Mr.Y.Aさんは埼玉のほうでウォーキングのイベントに行くため別れる。
Y.Aさんの紹介でポーター･クラシックに行く。吉田さんが英国などで集めたアンティークなどを売っているお店、ポーター経営の店員と会う。吉田によろしく伝えるとのこと。作品をお見せしておきますとの事。
その後スタッフのH.Kさんと会う。カフェで面接しようとしたがだれも来ない。新宿南口のHubに場所を移す。面接をT.Nさん、S.Aさんとする。二人とも1,2月にロンドンに来る予定。S.Aさんはリボンのブローチを購入してくれる。
その後、ぼくのサポーターのK.Sさん、ジャーナル写真家の丹羽さとるさんwww.satoruniwa.com、ZozoTown(zozotown.com)のアシスタントバイヤーY.N.君、写真家のJさん、アシスタントのA.Fさんが加わる。
このよる次の日、販売する予定のSatoshi Dateプロデュースのなしドレスがすべて東京に輸送中に割れたことをMr.Y.A.さんから聞く。やけ酒を飲みたいから加わりたいといったが、来れなかった。H.K.さんは次の日のその他の商品を売りにMr.Y.Aの販売手伝いに行く。

I wonder if I go back or come back, I go to work or travel? Everything is mixed up and enjoy that feeling, I never ever imagine I will have such a life before. I have arrived in Japan. I don’t really often go back to Japan in half a year time. It became a bit annoying to take an airplane and I got used to see again the Japanese view. Very calm and peaceful, I don’t see it in London. I thought this one month trip would be a second again. It is touching that my mother always happy to be welcome that I am back. I always feel strange that there is no “HUG” in Japan…although we want to hug each other.

帰るのか行くのか、果たして旅をするのか、仕事に行くのかすべてがごっちゃになって楽しめる日が来るとは昔は思ってもいなかった。日本に着く。半年振りに帰ることはめったに無い。飛行機も億劫になって、日本の景色を見直すのも慣れてしまった。この平和で静かな空気はまったく持ってイギリスのロンドンには流れていない。
また1ヶ月はすぐに過ぎ去ってしまうだろうと頭の中で考える。母親がやはり帰るたびに喜ぶのはとても嬉しいことだ。あいかわらず日本には“ハグ”という習慣が無いのは不思議に思う。たとえお互いが抱きしめたい気持ちだったとしても僕らはしないときがある。

Came back from Japan to England. Different reality from Japan, England, it was a bit hard to come back for me. Only a month, I have stayed in Japan, surprising and strange events were happened every day in Japan. I go back, because I wish those things would happen, and make myself refresh to go back and work in England. I always go back after I got used to be in Japan. There is the same view in England after I go back, people on the train, the same articles on the newspaper, kids talking in the same place, at home, the same people talking in the living room in their routine.
The same people’s life continue in opposite place of the earth, but it is unusual and admiring life for people in the other place. It is very very interesting. I have both sides at the same time, half of my spirit feels fear and relax in each places. When I got arrived in the airport in Netherlands for transit, I felt very relax and calm. Very fascinating.

イギリスに日本から戻る。日本とは違う現実、イギリス、に戻るのは少し恐かった。たかが一ヶ月日本に帰ったのだが毎回驚きや奇想天外なイベントが起きる。ぼくはそれを期待して、また新しい心でイギリスで仕事をするために日本に行く。日本にやっとなじんだところでいつもイギリスに戻る。そこには1ヶ月前とまったく同じ光景がみえる。電車の人間、新聞は同じようなことを話し、近所の子供たちは同じ場所でたむろっている。家に帰れば勿論同じ人たちが同じ感覚で生活をしている。
　地球の反対側では当然のように生活が続けられる。けれども向こう側の人間はそれが非日常だったり、憧れだったりする。実に不思議だ。ぼくはその両方をもち、僕の魂の半分は恐怖を感じ、半分は居座っているのだろう。オランダの空港に乗り継ぎで着いた瞬間、心は落ち着いた。不思議なものだ。

I had a talk about how we communicate differently with other languages, culture and environment.

2011年4月21日に東邦音楽大学のコミュニケーション論（徳富政樹講師）にて1時間のクラスを承りました。
日本で大学の授業は初めてです。
言語、文化や環境によってコミュニケーションが変わる、そして僕の表現方法で人とどの様に「コミュニケート」していくかを語りました。

It is eye opening to know that Japanese people can be successful though they couldn’t get into famous Japanese art universities because artistic technique plus label of university is very important in Japan. But Britain is different, and more open. I think it’s very nice.

I study classic music and it was a great opportunity to listen to a professional from a different field. Thank you!

I learned from your talk that situation in Japan and Britain is interestingly different. From now on, I want to talk to people from foreign countries.

Very motivational. I don’t know about fashion but it is very impressive that you create things from very first with your own idea!

I wear cheap clothes. I hated brands because I thought people like them only because it is expensive. But your talk changed my mind. I learned there is a decent reason and idea behind it. I want to learn more about fashion. Thank you so much!

I was moved with your video clips that I got goose bumps. Your thought was too deep and it made me think. I was motivated and very lucky to listen to you today.

There is a gap between interest and disinterest.
People nowadays will upload tons of footage of themselves and their life online, even if they do not know whether anyone will see it or not.
Of course no-one can really tell which of your experiences have become an integral part of your memories.
People upload hundreds of pictures and thousands of videos because they are obsessed with claiming, “I am here”

Convenience creates a lack of interest and effort.
People upload images randomly onto SNS sites on the Internet as ‘memories’ but this availability actually damages preciousness.
Anyone can access these images and your memories but they can never really share that memory with you.

So now, I would love for you to participate in my new Satoshi Date collection of clothing.

Using your memories, I wish to create the shape and colour of your memory within my garment so that your precious memory and a part of your soul will be absolved into clothing forever. When other people wear the garment, they too can truly share your memory.

I will give you two examples; these are true stories and precious memories of mine.

Bath in mum’s hands

I was on a boat, enjoying the Italian sun.
As the boat swayed gently, one of my oldest memories came back to me.
I saw my young mother’s face as she was cleaning my body.
She was holding my head while I floated the small bathtub full of calm and warm water.
I remember being the most comfortable moment of my life, as I lay completely reliant on her arms and love.
Until I was in the Italian sea near Rome, I had never remembered this memory.

Darkest Memory

I was in the dark, shaking to see her.
As I crawled in the dark trying to reach where she slept I could not believe that she would exist in this depth.
It felt like the darkest dark I’d ever seen and I wondered whether I would ever be able to escape.
Just as my hands began disappearing in the dark mist so too did my feelings.
This was so real and unreal.

興味と無関心の間には、大きな「ずれ」が存在している。

ある人にとって、どの経験が、どのようにしてその人個人を作り、個性的にしているのか。それは他人に本当の意味で理解されることはごく稀である。それにも関わらず、人々は取りつかれたように自分の足跡をオンライン上に提示し続ける。思い出写真やビデオは、まるでそうしなければ「自分はここに存在する」という事実さえも曖昧になってしまうかの様に、絶えることなくＳＮＳ上に投稿される。

けれど、インターネット上にアップされ続ける誰かの「思い出」達には、いったいどれほどの「想い」が詰っているのだろう？指の動きひとつで世界中のありとあらゆる人々からアクセス可能になってしまう。気軽に他人と共有できる思い出。この気軽さ、手軽さが、思い出の価値や信実性を、ずっと陳腐なものにしてしまう。

もっと自分の思い出に触れ、記憶に留めておくために大切にすることではじめて、それは本当に尊い、世界でたったひとつの思い出になるのではないだろうか。
Satoshi　Dateの新プロジェクトがでは、この一人一人の「記憶」を、Satoshi Date のプロダクトとしてテクスチャーや色を与え、生き返らせるということだ。他人はその作品達を身につけることで、誰かの思い出を肌で感じ、本当の意味で体験、理解することになる。

僕が形に残したい大切な記憶の例を、ふたつほどあげてみる。

僕の体を包み込む母の手

僕はボートに乗って、オレンジ色のイタリアの太陽に焼かれていた。
ふわふわと揺れるボートに身をまかせていると、ふと、とても古い記憶が蘇って来る。
僕は体を洗われながら、若かりし頃の彼女の顔をみつめる。彼女の手は、小さな赤ん坊用の浴槽の中で僕の頭を支える。小さな浴槽は、静かで温かな湯で満たされている。この記憶は人生の中で最も安心した思い出だと思う。僕のすべてを母の腕に、愛に委ねることが出来た。
ローマ近くの海でボートに揺られ、僕は初めてこの記憶を思い出した。

深い闇の記憶

彼女に会うのを震えながら、僕は深い深い闇の中にいる。
闇をかきわけて、彼女の眠る場所にたどりつこうと這う。こんなにも暗い場所に彼女が存在していることがとても信じられない。
こんなに濃い、深い闇を僕は知らない。いったいここから、逃れることはできるのだろうか？
僕の指先に闇がしみ込んできて、僕の感覚や気持まで、闇に解けだしていくのがわかる。
あまりにも非現実的で、偽りのない記憶。

The word poor has negative meaning. So, poor sounds bad, but lacking money , is not bad thing. So people who are working in small wages are the most unhappy people? I don’t think so.
Some media try to put some ideas what is bad and good, but it is up to us how to think about it. If you go to poor country and talk face to face at the same table, do you look down ? what I want to say here is why do you separate the people so much with having money and not having money? I know that might be natural thing, but anger always come from these differences. Races and Community problems. I guess how we think create separeta more poor people and rich people.

-government –

I am sure Government can do something about it, because they are the one who charging and constructing the country, but remember that government is made by our civilians, so do not blame only them, blame on ourselves.

IF WE THINK WE ARE ALL CONNECTED AND DO NOT BLAME EACH OTHER, there is a way out. For sure.

It is a sick to behave like this, cover the face so that no one can see, so they are actually ashamed of doing this or they do not want to get caught. And it is a shame that people just do this crime when everybody was doing. How weak those people. I am not saying that if you commit a crime, please be proud of what you do. You do not have right mind, you are actually do not what you are doing. Peoeple are not trained enough to be mature in the society.

-conclusion

Everyone should appreciate the job, imagine you are doing volunteer, this is your turn to do the job. It might not look nice, but someone has to do it. I like what I do, but I try to contribute with society, dress maker, rubbish man, artist, gardener, designer we are all the same, we are volunteering and for the return we receive money. We are all part of community. All of us are connected.

貧しいという言葉には負の意味がこめられている、だから響きが悪い。しかしお金がないことは悪いことではない。もし悪いとしたら低収入の人間が世界で一番不幸せなのだろか？僕はそうは思わない。
メディアは何が悪くて良いか僕らの頭にIDEAを叩き込む。けれど、どの様にしてものを考えるかは僕らにかかっている。もし貧しい国へ行って貧しい人たちと同じテーブルに座って面と向かって彼らを見下すだろうか？何をいい対価というのは、何でそこまでお金があるかないかで人を分けてしまうかだ。勿論これは自然なことなのかもしれない、けれど怒りは「違い」から生まれる。人種、地域コミュニティーの問題。どの様に僕らが普段考えるかでがさらに貧しい人たちとお金持ちを分けるのかもしれない。

政府は何かできるだろう。彼らが国の責任を抱え、国を作り上げているのだから。けれどもその政府も僕らが作っていることを忘れてはいけない。彼らを常に責めてはいけない、問題があれば僕ら自身も責めるべきだ。
もし僕たちが責任転嫁をお互いにせず、みんなが繋がっていると認識すれば、必ず道はある。それは確かなこと。
今回顔を隠して犯罪を起こす人たちがたくさんいたが、彼らが悪いことをしていることをそこで認めているということだ。恥ずかしいしつかまるのがいやだから。みんながするからする、なんて弱い人間たちなのだろう？ぼくは堂々と犯罪を犯せとは言ってない。確かな精神状態ではない。何をしているかわかっていない。彼らは社会の中で大人になるための訓練ができていないのだ。

結論
人はそれぞれの仕事を誇りに思い、楽しくするべきだ。ボランティアをやっていると思い、今回はこういった仕事をしなくてはいけない。君の番が来ているだけだと思う。僕は今自分の仕事が好きだ、それと同時に社会に貢献を頑張る、ドレスメーカー、ゴミ収集、芸術家、庭師、デザイナーすべての人は同じだ。社会のためにボランティアをして

I assume that in some extent individuality helps in our society, having your opinion and stand up against the majority, but if that is too much, it’ll be selfishness. So working in the group would be fantastic in Japan, but it might end up with chaos in England.

When you see rich people on the street and you don’t have money and you have to work in a bad condition job, you might think it is unfair. I saw an article a couple days ago, one of the rioter was saying “ This is Government fault, rich people’s fault, it was so fan to burn things and steal things” Why rich people are bad ? not all of the rich people are stingy and showing off their money, see how it will happen those people who complain became rich, and some rich people help and consider about poverty.
And

“Why do being rich bad or good and why poor good or bad?”

I think in England they separate rich, middle and poor firmly. Poor people are pushed away to the corner. And the way of life as well… and seems that some people are ignorant about the problem. About the social benefit as well, the system is collapsed and they don’t even try to fix it. I know many people who take an advantage to those system and people who really need a support get nothing. In Japan we have many support from government but we don’t abuse the system. WhY?

Ok , I said “Is poor bad?” Lacking money is bad? Who said that? Capitalism? Even in Japan, some parents are crazy about career and being rich. What is wrong with these people? Why having a lot of money is good? Yes you can travel, you do not have to suffer from jobless, but this is mental matter, I mean how you think, creates poverty. Poor mind creates poorness. Those people who steal from the shop at this event, creates their poor mind and create them more poor.

YOUR MIND IS POOR that is why you are poor.

Of course you need to be educated how we are not thinking that way. Ask me if you need a help. I will answer that question.

個人主義
個人主義はある意味社会に必要とされる。自身の意見を持ち、大きな団体にも反対意見を述べる事もできる。しかしそれが行き過ぎてもいけない。自分勝手になってしまうからだ。イギリスでグループワークとなるとかなりの混沌状態に陥る。

貧困
ズルイ、不平等だ！自分の仕事とお金のなさと道で見かけたお金持ちの生活と比べたら、そう思うかもしれない。2,3日前に新聞の記事を見た、それにはこんな事が書かれていた「すべて政治が悪い、金持ちも。昨日はとても楽しかった、ものを燃やして盗み放題！」と暴動をおこした女性が慢心の笑みで叫ぶ。お金持ちの何が悪い？すべての金持ちがずる賢くて、けちなわけではない。暴言を吐いた彼女にお金持ちになってもらってどうなるか見てみたらいいだろう。
お金持ちの人たちのなかでは貧困を助ける人もいるし

「なぜ金持ちである事が悪くまたは良く、貧しい事が良くそして時には悪いのか？」

イギリスでは貧困層なり中流階級、お金持ちの人を分けすぎているような木がする。貧しい人は追いやられ、生活までも社会に決め付けられている。そして人によってはこれらの問題についてなにも問題としない。生活保護についても問題がある。おかしなシステムなのに誰も直そうとしない。機関をだましてお金を奪い、保護が必要な人に行き届かない事が多い。日本では生活保護や失業保険があってもそれを必要以上に使おうとはしない。なぜだろうか？

貧しい事が悪いのか？と僕は言った。お金がないことがなぜ悪いのだろうか？誰が言ったのだろうか？資本主義？日本でもそういった現象はある。おかしな親たちは子供をお金持ちに、そして素晴らしい(?)キャリアを持つ為に必死に育てる（？）。彼らはどうかしているのだろうか？なぜお金をいっぱいもっていることがそんなに良いことなのだろうか？　もちろんお金があれば、色々なところへ旅行へ行ったり仕事がないことに不安を抱えなくていい。でもこれは精神のもちようで変わる。　どの様にして精神を自分の体に置くかで自分の環境を変える。貧しく考えれば貧しくなる。　今回の問題でものを盗んだひとたちはさらに彼らを貧しくしているだろう。

あなたの考えが貧しいからあなたは貧しいのだ。

勿論どのようにしてそこから抜け出すかが難しいわけだが。もし助けが必要であれば、僕がなにか答えられるかもしれない。

This is the problem of England, Here we come. I talked with my Italian friend earlier, I talked with some other nationalities not from UK. Is this riot event possible to happen? Yeah, any countries. But Now I can see this problem clearly. UK is out of control. If the police or army doesn’t exist this country. It’ll be worse than that. There are many people who do not care about others. Is it selfishness? Lack of education? Poverty ? Immigrations? Rich people? Government?

　I am here in UK, some people say why I am here. Uncivilized, bad weather, depressive country. Well, I don’t 100% believe these, but I am here to sort the problem out. Any country has problems and when this is in front of it, I try to understand why and how I could help or heal. I am not just making art or products to make some money or to be proud of myself. I am here to do something in society or our lives.
So England is great place for me to challenge my career.
　It is obvious that UK is out of control by these young adult gangs (not all of them are gangs). They do not have anything to do, they do not have fear, and they do not know what is morality. They are bored. I do not know how they feel, when they are arrested and being jailed, probably they will be more upset and do the same, I do not know what they feel if they see other people crying because the victim got killed by rioters or see the film or photo footage they were committing a crime.
　The problem is in the bottom, base, origin which we have to look at. I think it is combination of many things. Excuse me that I am not trying to generalise, it is my personal opinion, and I don’t say this is 100% true. To be continued >

これがイギリスの問題だ。今日イタリアの友達と話をした、また世界各国の人と。「イギリスで起きているこの暴動は君たちの国では起こりえるか？」もちろんどこの国だって起きないとはいえない。　けれどイギリスは制御不可能な状態になってる。警察や軍隊がいなかったらもっととんでもないことになっているだろう。　沢山の人が他人に対してどうでもよいと思ってる。自己中心であるから？　教育のせい？　貧困？　移民問題？　富のある人達のせい？　それとも政府？

　僕は今イギリスにいる。何でここに住んでいるの？と良く聞かれる。文明化されていない、　気候の悪い、鬱な国になぜいるのか？　１００％彼らの意見に同意しないが、僕はなにかの問題を解決する為にここにいる。どこの国や社会にも問題がある。理解し、どのように助けて、癒していくかを考える。アートやデザインを作り上げるのはお金を稼ぐ為でも自分のためだけにやっているわけではなく、ぼくらの人生と社会のために行なっている。イギリスはそういう意味ではとてもチャレンジとなる国だ。

イギリスがいまこの不良な若者たちにたいして制御不能なのは明確だ（今回の事件では全員が若者でもなく不良でもないが）。彼らはなにもすることがなく、恐がるものもなく、善悪がなにかも知らない。かれらは人生にもう飽きてしまったのだ。彼らが捕まり、牢屋に入っても何を感じるか僕にはわからない。多分彼らはさらに怒りをこみ上げるだろう。もしかれらが暴動により殺された人の涙をみたり、犯罪を犯している自分自身の姿を報道で目に入ったら何を思うのだろうか？

　問題はもっと根底にあって、それを見つめなければいけない。色々な問題が重なって大きな問題になっている。一般的に偏見をもってみるのではなく、僕の個人的な考えとして聞いてほしい　　　続く＞＞

Killing your own mind Hackney Wicked 2011　/心を殺すーハックニーウィッキド2011年 /20110731-001

I went to Hackney Wicked (festival? In Hackney Wick) yesterday. I might go today just to see some art works. I went last year and it was quite exciting. Everywhere you can hear the live music, full of artistic(?) people, many friends from East bumped into each other.

It is like re-union party, at the top roof of the big building, they play live band music in a dark. You can see the whole view of Hackney Wick, across the river there is a quiet residential building. People in the apartment, some might be annoyed, some might enjoying the excitement across the river. Yesterday was ok. The same thing. Same craziness. Full of Spanish, Brazilian and French people. It was less interesting than last year.

In the crowd, there is a girl keeps complaining that I am pushing her. It was in the crowd so there is no way avoiding pushing or pulling by someone. Someone behind pushed me anyway… then she grabs my arms and make me fall down from the step
“ if you push me again I ll smack your face!!!!!!”
Why people are so aggressive? I really believe those people make a conflict or a war…
Calm down people. Why do you have to be so irritated and upset? What you are not satisfied in your life?
I am afraid of people. If I imagine if the world ends came (like no human system no government ruled) perhaps those aggressive people will take over the land and do some selfish thing.

I won’t say, “ Stop the war “ like a broken tape player. Small conflict is everywhere, and they do not understand it is just in front of you. I am not saying you have to be peaceful and loving each other… just train yourself everyday and be mature. You will not shout at people so easily. You maybe allowed to shout at animals or human who is going to kill you but not to offend to the sheep.

ハックニーウィキッド(ハックニー･ウィックのフェスティバル)に昨日出かけた。今日もアートをみにいくかもしれない。去年はなかなか面白かった。いたるところでライブ音楽が聞こえ、おかしな格好のアーティスティック（？）な人たちで押し合う。東に住むロンドナー達の友達とばったり会う。まるで同窓会のように。建物の屋上ではライブ演奏があり、暗闇の中からハックニー･ウィックを見渡す。川を越えて大きなアパートがみえる。うるさいと思う人もいれば、お祭りを楽しんでいる人もいるかもしれなかった。　

昨日のお祭りは似たような感じであった。スペイン、ブラジル、フランス人だらけだった。少し去年より面白さには欠けた。

押し合う人ごみの中で前にいた女の人が「ちょっと押すのやめてくれる？」と僕に怒鳴る。ぼくは押したつもりはなく、人の押しあいの中にいるのでぼくの後ろの人が押しそれが結果として彼女を押していた。しばらくすると

「これ以上押したら貴方の顔を殴りつけるわよ！」と僕の腕をつかんで乗っかていたいすから僕を落とした。

なんでこんなに戦闘的な人間が多いのだろうか？　このような人間が争いを起こすのだろうなとつくづく思う。落ち着けピープル。　なんでそんなにいらつき、怒る必要があるのか？なにが不満だ？
人々が不安だ。もしも世界の終わりがきたら（無政府、なにも法律のない世界になったら）、たぶんこんな過激な人間が世界を征服して好き勝手するのだろう。

ぼくは「戦争をやめよう！」なんて壊れたテーププレイヤーみたいに言うつもりはない。小さな争いなんてそこらじゅうにある。彼らは気付かないだけ。僕は人は平和を心に保ち、全ての人を愛しなさいとは言わない。人に必要な事は日々鍛錬し、大人になる事が重要だ。そうすれば簡単に無意味に人を恐がらせたり怒鳴ったりしないだろう。貴方を殺そうとする動物や人には叫んでむかっていってもいいかもしれない、でも羊たちを脅かす必要なんてない。

I am back to the UK! I met many interesting people in Japan. I had many inspiring conversation with them, like how we can improve our life, how we need to change the world from now on. Calm Sakura /　静かな桜　in English / 日本語

I got used to come back to Japan. It means that I am not surprised. Get out from the airport, Jump on the train and I see the slow views from the window. A bit of humidity, all green, warm air is coming through from the window. Children play in the train quietly. How can it exist such a peaceful country? Perhaps the world calmest and the most peaceful country. England make me abstract then it puts my body into mixer, bring back to Japan. So I become wind and feel Japan.

Every time I come back to Japan, I feel like I bring a big souvenir. Souvenir which is myself, I got mature , gray cloud vanish above Japan (Which I thought there was), I don’t look down people, all the people become scenery and part of my life. Beautiful women and children. How I see things differ. Everyone looks pure and adorable. Just realised that I haven’t been back to Sakura time in Japan for 10years.

Scent of spring although a bit of radiation, I just came here to breath Japanese air, air that create by Japanese nature.
Never stop reincarnation.
Nature breathes in our anxiety and suffer, then trees keep giving me adequate energy
I think Japan is beautiful country. I don’t know why it’s so peaceful and calm.

As Japan is my mother country. It would be great if everyone in the world come here and feel it by their skin. If so, they will understand many things what I say. Why do Japanese people who left here to other country hate so much to Japan? There are problems everywhere. It is impossible to feel this nature in the other countries. The dimension is different. It is worth to come here just to breathe in.

もう日本に帰るのは慣れた。慣れたと言うのはもう驚かないと言うこと。空港から電車に乗り、一面の窓からゆっくりと動く景色が見える。湿気があり緑に覆われ暖かい風が窓から入る。子供たちは電車の中で静かに遊び、こんな平和な国が存在するのだろうかと疑問に思う。世界一平和な国は日本なのかもしれない。　イギリスが僕を抽象化しミキサーにかけられたように分解されて、日本へとおくりもどす、だからぼくは風となり感じる。日本を。

帰るたびに僕は大きなお土産を持ってきている。それは成長した自分自身で僕が創造していた灰色の大きな雲なんてものは日本の上空には存在しない。人を見下すことなく、皆は景色と同化してぼくの人生の一つとなっている。美しい女性と子供たち。全てのものが違って見える。皆がとても純粋で尊重の出来る存在と変化していた。　桜の時期に帰るのは10年振りだと自覚する。少しの放射能はあるが春の香りがする。ここに帰って来たのは日本の空気を吸うため。日本の自然に作られた空気。

輪廻は永久に続く。　僕たちの悩みや苦しみを自然は吸い込み、それを僕たちのエネルギーとして与えてくれる。　日本は美しい国だと思う。　何故こんなに平和でゆったりと時が流れるのか。

日本が母国である僕にとっては、世界中の皆をここに来させ、肌で感じてもらいたい。そうしたら色々な事が判るだろう。なぜここに育った日本人は海外に行くと日本を嫌うのだろうか、色々な問題は何処の国にでもある。それよりもこの自然は他国ではあじあうことは無理だ。まさに次元が違う。空気を吸いに来るだけでも価値はあるはずだ。

幼少のころからヨーロッパに興味があり、10年前にイギリスへ留学し、現在自身のアート、音楽、ファッションを混合させた新しい表現で人に感動を与える術を日々ロンドンにて模索しています。世界の芸術家と接し、日本人として世界の観点から様々な芸術・デザインとは何か？何が新しい表現かについて語ります。その中で真実と抽象、我々の生きている世界と別次元との関係性、科学者、哲学者、心理学者とは違うアーティストとしての観点でアートとそれを取り巻く世界を説きます。参加者にはスケッチをしていただきインターアクティブなイベントとなります。

What did we learn from Crisis in Japan 震災で何を学んだか。其の2　 English&日本語　No2

How about living a little bit slower speed. Since this tragic, it makes us think in many ways, especially to Japanese people. About tomorrow, future, our lives, we do not know what it will happen next day which we believe it would be normal. Do Japanese people can endure the tough situation, being flexible and start the new life right now?

We have to build up the environment which we can develop our flexibility and strength. What we are doing and where we are. We should develop our mind to create a mature environtment which also makes keeping a spare of relax heart.

Buying needless things, throughing extra away, these things can be normal, we are in a such world. Perhaps it is normal in the city or advanced countries. Waste the energies, put all the extra food into the rubbish bin, this makes us completely numb about environment. However, I believe many people realised that any tiny help to the environment change the life of the refegee in north east part of Japan. If you change the attitude, it changes the world.

About the problems of Nuclear Plants, it seems like most of the Japanese are feeling terrified and worried like we are in the war. Maybe there is not such a different situations we are in now. Killing and destroying in the war is usually by People. What about this time event? Of course people are not trying to kill or suffer people by Plants and many of civilians did not know what was the problem of nuclear plants there before, but in the war, government and army decide the decision by their selfish choice. Anyhow it’s happened the thing that it should not happen.

I believe all the civilians create the government by their words and opinions, how we prevent this, what was the cause, we should not spend so much energy for blaming on someone, think about our lives, being even more careful about our decision as we think about whole country and the world. Wasting energy of your body and mind is also wasting the energy of our resources!

もっとゆっくり生きてはどうか。今回の事で世界の人、特に日本人は色々考えさせられたのではないだろうか？　明日の事、将来のこと、人生の事、次の日なにがおきるか予想のつかない事が日常に隣する。どんな事が起きても耐え抜いて新しい人生をはじめる柔軟さが今の日本人にあるだろうか？

そういう柔軟さや強さを作る新しい環境を僕たちが創っていかなくてはいけない。今僕たちがどこにいて何をしようとしているのか、その中で心にゆとりのある環境、より精神が発達した大人の環境をつくるべきだ。

余計なものを買ったり、余ったものを捨てる平気な世の中は今都市や先進国では普通かもしれない。エネルギーを無駄に使い、残った食べ物を捨てても自分の生活になにも害をくわえないから、無関心となる。しかし、震災が起きた後で自分の些細な行動によって人の命が危険に晒される事が、また身の回りの変化が世界の変化に繋がる事がわかってくるだろう。

原発の問題で、日本は今戦時下のような不安を人々が持つ。考えてみればそんなに違う点はないかもしれない。殺傷や破壊は戦争で繰り広げられそれは人によるものだ。今回のことはどうか、たしかに意図的には国民を不安にしてはいないし、殆どの国民は福島の原発がどのようなものか、しらなかったことだろう。けれども戦争も軍や政治のトップの独断と偏見により決められる。程度は違うかもしれないが、とにかくおこるべきことで無い事が起きた。

私は国民の思想や意見が政治を作り上げ結局は戦争やこのような惨事を作り上げると信じる。失敗は繰り返されるがこの後が大事かと思う。どのように防ぐか経緯はどのようだったか、人を責めるだけに力を費やすのではなく自分の生活と他人の生活、国家全体を範囲として慎重に行動していくべきだと思う。その費やす無駄なエネルギーの消費が僕らのエネルギーの資源の無駄となる!

My body was placed in UK, not in Japan. BBC, NHK(Japanese National TV Channel) I ‘ve been watching those and I felt quite odd, because I felt the connection between Japan and myself, but I am away from the land, worried, at the same time I fe...lt the same emotion, consciousness with Japanese people.

Because of the internet, many people in the world support Japan, this even, I felt strange. Many people who loves Japan (likes anime or Japanese sub culture) send a message to Japan,too.

It was a strange phenomenon for me, Surface level of Japanese culture which is animation (most of them I believe it is just a surface) promotes to the world and we got a support from the result. On the news in Germany, they showed some animation clips at the beginning of the Japan Crisis news that was a bit strange. Of course the supporters from the world are not just animation fan, but I just wonder, why do they worry about Japan , the 2 dimensional imaginative world will never collapse, but probably the place where they created is in danger? That is why they are worried ?

About Nuclear Power Stations

I had an opinion like ‘If the power station is protected by ridged security and safety, It should be fine.’ I realised that it is crazy that we have those dangerous machines everywhere in the world. There are some opinions saying we should reconsider about safety, it should never happen etc. Civilians are also involved with this problem and depend on this system. Some parts of Japan need to stop using electricity some points to save energy. Several 100 years ago will never be considered such a trouble. We do not have any resources in Japan. We cannot live with candles from now on.

There are huge populations and economies rely on nuclear energy, I think this is the conclusion of what we have been building up the world. Rapidly, just to fill our desire and conveniences temporary. Too many people, we need energy, there is energy, then we use as much we have. There is a system that we cannot really control everywhere but we have just sort the problem temporarily then we crated the toothed wheels of society which do not match each other.

母国の日本ではなくてイギリスに身を置いて、BBC、NHKを見て状況を見ているととても不思議な感情になる。日本との繋がりを強く感じる一方、自分の国とは距離的に離れているという今まで感じた事がない不安、自分と日本人との一体された意識を感じた。

インターネットの普及で世界全体が心配をし援助をしてくれている事も不思議に感じた。アニメなどの普及によって親日感情があるひとからもエールが送られる。

表面的な文化の宣伝が不思議な非現実的な世界から現実的な災害の被害をサポートするというのが面白い現象だと思った。ドイツのニュースではアニメの映像を流していたのが実に奇妙だった。もちろん世界でサポートしてくれている人はそのようなアニメファンだけではないはずだが、2次元の非現実世界は消える事がないがそれを作り上げた日本が揺らぐのを不安に感じるのだろうか。

原子力発電所について

原子力発電は安全であれば必要不可欠ではないかという意見を私は持っていたが、今回の事で考えが180度変わった。あんな危険なものが世界中にあるのはどうもおかしな話だ。安全性を確保、二度と起きてはいけないという意見もあるが、実際それを作り上げて使って頼っているのは国民皆で、実際発電所がダメージをうけたせいで停電を余儀なくされている。数百年前では考えられない事だ。もちろん日本にはもう資源がないし、昔のように蝋燭で暮らすことも不可能だ。

原子力発電所なしでは支えきれないほどの人口があり、その電力なしでは経済が動かないのは私たちがそういう世界を作り上げた結果だと思う。高速に自分らの欲求と快適を埋めるために成長してその場しのぎの世界を作ってしまったからだ。人口が多い、エネルギーが必要、エネルギーがある、だからその分使う。制御できないシステムがいたるところにあるのにとりあえずの応急処置ですべてを作り上げてきた。かみ合わない歯車の社会に僕たちはいる。

I have been to help Organic Farming last Decemeber.. It is an orgnisation called Wwoff

It was snowed a lot In England December, so the host cannot give me so many tasks, but it was interesting to see what they do and to hear what they think. In Japan, doing farming or being in a country side is very uncool. Mainly because those sound in Japanese language are quite unfashionable… at least I think , but in English it is not so bad, but still for English people, probably bad…the city people should realise that food supply is supported by those farmers people in the country side. Without any help from them, the world does not run properly; in fact some city mentalities destroy the world, like consumerism, people buy things, because it is cheap, no matter what kind of products. Farmers create beautiful vegetable and meat but that true meat and vegetables are pushed away by chemical, non soil food in the supermarket, and of course city people help this big power(It is not only city people). I do think city people need to understand what is going on and how they are supported by farmer. When I was there, there was an interesting TV programme was on, talking about how big supermarket influences terribly to local shops. They grow vegetable cheaply in out side of UK and create tasteless and full of chemical products. People buy cheep things but they don’t think what is behind. If we keep eating those, what is going to happen in several 100 years later? We might be all dead! Organic food is not luxury. It is normal, same as my product in fashion. Handmade or organic clothes are not luxury. IT IS NORMAL. Don’t buy clothes regularly. If you buy something, buy something useful something beautiful and want to take care. Who wants to take care or love products (including food or other products) which are cheap and easy to be broken? Think and feel it!
However, I listened to the people who live there and their opinion is very right but at the same time quite extreme Like technology is killing the nature in some points, we need to live in a sustainable way. Of course we need to survive and try to recycle as much as we can. If we cut the tree, cut in a right way not to destroy the woodlands, do not mass-produce, keep only what we need, but we are living in the modern world, we cannot change everything all at once. I think we need to find a balance. That is the best start.

Some for the things that I have learned
cut the tree in a right way so the tree grows back in decades and you can cut again.
in winter all the heating system coming from the same place, for cooking or boiling (but you need to have a certain facility for that) in the summer solar panel to generate the electricity. It would be nice to create the power station in each house. Not nuclear one…
some food waste can go to the feeding container for the bird.

雪がとても酷かったので、あまり仕事ができなかったけれどそこで働く人たちの意見を色々聞けてよい機会だった。田舎や農業は日本語ではかっこうがわるいが英語ではあまりそうでもない。と思う…（country sideカントリーサイド、Farming ファーミング）なので日本では抵抗があるかもしれないがイギリスではそんなでもないかなと思う。日本だとなにかしらユニフォームや訛りとか（イギリスにもあるけれど）いろいろとあり、若い人には抵抗があるかと思う。
都市にいる人間は農業で働く人々がどれだけ私たちの生活を助けているかを痛感すべきだ。彼らの助けなしでは世界は成り立たないのだから。都市の精神は時に世界を滅ぼす発想を生み出す。例えば浪費主義（Consumerism）。安いものであるから買う。どんな製品かも調べず手に取り購入する。農場の人たちは時間をかけて作り出す美しい野菜や肉を私たちに提供する。しかし大きなスーパーマーケットはそれらを押しのけ土の中で育たず、化学薬品で作られたものをぼくらの餌にする。都市の人だけではないが、人々はこれを助ける。私たちは何が今起きていて、なにを口に入れているかはっきりしっておくべきだ。
ちょうどボランティアをしている時に面白いテレビ番組が放送されていた。イギリスの大きなスーパーがいかにして個人経営のお店を地域から追い出していくかだ。彼らは味気のない野菜を国外で生産し、土のなかでも育たないものを輸入して安くして売っている。人間は安価なものを購入するがなにが背景におきているか無視しがちだ。こんなものを僕らが食べ続けたら近い未来どんな事が起きるだろうか？僕らはみんな息絶えるだろう。
オーガニック（無農薬、有機）のものは贅沢ではない。もともとは普通だった。服も同じで手によって作られるものは当然なもので決して贅沢ではない。服は皆に合わせてしょうがなく買うのではなくて、自分にとって必要で美しいと感じるものを手にすべきだ。だれが何の愛情もうけてなく、すぐに壊れる商品を買おうとするだろうか。考えて感じるべきだ。
しかし、そこに住むホストたちと会話をいろいろ交わしたが、もちろん彼らの考え方もすこし極端である。テクノロジーを極端に嫌うところなどそうだ。ぼくらはできるだけエネルギーを消費せず限られたものでなんとか生活していくべきだ。両意見を良く聞いてバランスを取る事が一番最初のスタートかと思う。

農場で学んだ事
- 木の切り方によって木を殺さず、何度も生えて同じ木でいつまでも資源として使える。
暖房のシステム：薪で燃やされた熱が家中にわたり暖める。その日で料理もできれば、水を温める。夏はソーラーシステムにより電気を蓄える。
生ゴミなどは肥料に、また鳥や動物のえさにもなる。

Spring/Summer 2011 Concept

Life paths are only created in the past; hindsight maps the steps that were taken forwards. Future life paths can only be predictable for those controlled by the bondage of a system; by following the beaten track. If you think you know your destiny you may just follow steps to that eventuality, but where is the fun in that? You would likely be missing out on countless amazing experiences that you could have claimed.
If the mind remains free from the constraints of our society’s limitations and control, the spirit can roam freely beyond the boundaries imposed by others and embraced by the masses. Operating outside of the safety net can pose many difficulties with regard to being accepted by society but it also welcomes a plethora of fresh and exciting possibilities and opportunities.
Liberation of the self from the inevitability of fate is the only way to do this. Your life path is our life path. If you create your own choice you are also contributing to where we are going. You probably think that your future pathway lies somewhere along roads already traveled but if you build your own chosen pathway you can create your own future and new roads for others to follow, or inspire them to form their own. There are no restrictions if infinite possible pathways for the future are created.

Fashion Show

A contemporary & conceptual look at how life paths interweave and the influence and exchange of one human to another. Exploring positive, negative and neutral characteristics and visualizing the notions of love, friendship, joy and conflict.
The garments will transform as models interact when their paths meet.
Challenging peoples' perceptions about their own futures and their influence on the fortunes of others and offering them the possibility of choosing their own destiny as opposed to resigning themselves to fate's inevitable course.

人生の道は過去を振り返る時のみ確認する事ができ、これらは足跡が残した後知恵の地図に過ぎない。未来に続く道は既に形成されている、そして他者によってすでに踏みならされ統括されている道を歩もうとする場合にのみ予測が可能である。もし自分の運命を知っていると思うのならば、これからの行動は単純に決められた終焉へと続くステップに従って歩いているだけだといえるだろう。しかし、そのどこに楽しみを見いだせようか？　経験できたであろう無数の貴重な体験を見逃してしまっているだろう。
精神が我々の社会における制限や制御といった縛り付けから離れさせ、自由な肯定的な発想を展開することにより、無数の可能性が広がり、他者から愛され、運にめぐられ、信じる方向へと導かれるだろう。セーフティネットの外側で活動することは多くの困難をもたらす可能性がある。だが同時に様々な新鮮で刺激的な可能性や機会を招きいれるだろう。
安定を求め、定められた人生から抜け出し、自分の人生をつくり上げてゆくための唯一の手段である。
自分の人生の道は世界の人々の道でもある。自分自身が自らの選択を創造するのならば、それは、他の人の道にも携わっているということである。未来の道はすでに目の前に作りあげられていると考えるかもしれない。けれども自分自身の選択により道を築き上げ、新たな未来を開けば、その後に続く人達のために新しい道を創造し、また彼らの独自の道をインスパイアすることができる。未来への無限に可能な道が創造されたならば、もはや制限や縛りは消滅する。

ファッションショーのコンセプト及びパフォーマンス

コンセプチュアルな服は、どのように人生の道が他者から他者へ織り込まれ、影響しあい、そして交換されるのか、ということを表現し、色やテキスチャーはポジティブ、ネガティブ、そして中性的な特性を探求しつつ、愛、友情、楽しみ、そして対立といった概念を目に感じさせます。衣服はモデル達がすれ違い、出会うたびに互いに影響しあうパフォーマンスが展開されます。中心となるコンセプトには、自らの行動が他者の未来への影響するということ、不可避な運命へと自らを投げ出してしまわぬように、人々の自身の未来へ対する認識、他者の未来への影響に対する挑戦というコンセプトのもとデザインされた作品です。

Hackney Wicket 2010(English&日本語)

I went to Hackney Wicked(Hackney Wick Festival). Very close to where I live.
I missed last year. It was so nice, I thought festival is so small as I did not know how huge the area is.

Hackney Wick is famous as artists area, there are many buildings and studios where people live together.I met so many of my old friends. Ex flat-mate’s friends about 7people, Artist living in Dalston, my neighbour,Video editors. Seeing them again made me very happy. It seems like re-union party!

It was more like music live/ club party. On the top of the building, Reggae music plays so loud,,, I wonder people who live here are not annoyed or not… It seems like whole area is doing party.
Interesting one is music playing from the 1st floor where there is no wall. Atmosphere was fantastic, too.Small cannel, modern building and very old building, ruins…. !

ハックニー・ウィッキドというハックニー･ウィックという場所に年に一度行うお祭りに行ってきました。
家の近くで、去年逃したので最後の日でしたがぎりぎりで足を運びました。　フェスティバルは結構小さいのかと思ったのですが。意外にとても広く、いたるところにで音楽が演奏されていました。

ハックニー･ウィックはアーティストが住む場所で知られていて、
彼らが住む建物が何十もありスタジオ兼ねで住んでいる人がごまんと集まっているみたいです。旧友何人にも会ってとても楽しかった。前のフラットメートの友達7人ぐらいと、ダルすとんと言うところに住むアーティスト、隣人、ビデオのエディターなどなど。彼らに会うことが雰囲気を盛り上げて、ちょっとした同窓会のようでした。。。　

ライブミュージックの音量がすごくて、ビルの屋上で大音量でレゲエ音楽を演奏していて周りの近所はなにもいわないのかなと、日本ではありえない光景でした。
面白かった場所といえば２階で音楽を演奏をしているのだけれど一部分壁が無くて遠くからも演奏しているのがみえてとても不思議だった。
小さな小川が近くに流れていたり、現代的な建物とふるくてぼろぼろの建物、工場とかが入り混じっていてアートな雰囲気が別世界を作っていて面白かった。

Why Chinese people run a business abroad with using other countries culture? Do you know a restaurant chain called Miso? I thought Japanese, but only MISO soup and teriyaki is Japanese and apart from that is all Cantonese or Chinese food…
I wonder people come back again… this is cheating!! I know Chinese are good at business, but yes Wagamama!!!I thought Japanese ,too. When I ate there, Ra-men is not Ra-men, its just Chinese noodle! Different!!
Then more I shocked was… I was going to buy a nice recipe book for my friend’s mother in Devon. I found WAGAMAMA book in Japanese recipe book shelf in Waterstone… OH MY GOD.
Another funny story. My friend who is CHEF( yes I am talking about you), went to Wagamama, he asked many things about Japanese stock, spice etc.
as he was educated by me, but waiter did not seem to be able to answer all his questions… He finally found all the food he ordered was not Japanese. And he shouted at waiter and he did not pay any penny and he was able to leave….
Why Japanese people are not good at run big business in other countries? I mean interms of food, clothes… only Muji and Uniqulo.. but it is kinda Chinese anyway…. (produced in China) or maybe they want to keep the quality?
But I never had great Japanese food here in London with budget of 10-15 Pounds
(It is horrible food they are searving even they are Real Japanese restaurant .maybe I am useless as I cannot afford more for food)
I want to see Japan which they keep the quality and tradition but they are introducing widely into the world.

なぜ、中国人は他国の文化を利用してビジネスを試みるのだろうか。「Miso」という日本食のチェーン店を知っているだろうか。
僕はてっきり日本人が経営しているものだと思い込んでいたが、実際は味噌汁と照り焼き以外はすべて広東料理と中華料理ばかり。何度も足を運ぶ人がいることが信じられない！これは詐欺だ。。。　中国人がうまいビジネスをすることはもちろん知っていたけれど。。。
wagamamaもそのひとつ。僕はwagamamaも日本食チェーン店だと思っていた。しかし、そこでラーメンと名のつくものを食べてみたが、ただのヌードル（なんといったらいいかわからない）…違う、これは日本のラーメンではない！
更なるショックを受けたことはデボンに住む友人のお母さんのためにレシピ本を買いに行ったときだった。Waterstoneという特大の本屋の日本食料理の棚に、wagamamaのレシピ本があるではないか･･･面白い本当の話、シェフの友人がwagamamaに行った際、彼は日本の食材や調味料について色々な質問をした、彼は僕の話から日本食に対する様々な知識を得ていた。しかし、ウエイターは彼の質問に何も答えることができないようだった。結局、彼の頼んだ料理はすべて日本料理ではなかった･･･彼はウエイターを怒鳴りつけ、一銭もお金を払わずに立ち去ったようだ。。。
なぜ日本人は海外での経営があまり得意ではないのだろうか。それは食べ物だけではなく服にも言える。成功しているのはMUJIとUNIQLOぐらいだ。
だが、彼らの商品は殆ど中国製である。それとも、日本人経営者は品質の保持を求めているからあまりうまくいかないのだろうか？その割には、ロンドンで￡10～15程度の手ごろな値段で食べられる本当においしい日本食に出会ったことがない。(恐ろしくまずいものばかりそれが日本経営であっても…僕は食に対してそれ以上に普段、値段を出すゆとりはないので残念だ)。
クオリティー、伝統を保持しながら良いものを広く伝えていく日本を見てみたい。

My next door has left recently. They were typical council flat family
( although the flat is not council house)
Screaming, fighting, loud music almost everyday,through rubbish to our gardens more and more… They were evicted after 6month of a court case.

BUT where do they go?
It ll be the same and their next door will have the same issue.
I just wonder… I should have visit them and talk to them.
Especially children… they were not actually bad, but trained to be bad by parents.
Now the house is reformed. Nicer much nicer .. no bad energy

迷惑な隣人去る。

つい最近隣の家の人が出て行った。
彼らは典型的なtypical council family、つまり市から保護を受けている低所得家庭だった。
(家の建物自体はcouncil houseではあるが個人で借りている家のようだ。80年代に低所得住宅を売買できるようになったため)　
叫んだり、殺し合いのような喧嘩、大音量でR&Bを毎日聞く、生ごみを僕らの庭に棄てるようになった…　
結果、彼らは半年に及ぶ裁判の末に立ち退きを命じられた。

けれども彼らは何処に行くのだろうか？
きっと次の彼らの(Next-door)隣人も同じような問題を抱えることになる。
そう考えると少し心配だ･･･僕は彼らを訪ねて、少しでも話をして見るべきだったのかもと思った。
特に子どもたち･･･彼らは実際悪い子ではなくて良い子供たちだった（多少ひねくれていたが）、
しかし不道徳な両親から質の良くない教育を受けていることは確か。
現在、隣の家はリフォーム中である。もう暫くすれば悪いエネルギーはいなくなって、良いエネルギーだけになると思う。

I have never got on tour bus in London. Double deck bus and upper deck is open air.
I wanted to get on, but I do not want to be tourist. I finally could get on.
It was my extra(acting) job occasionally do. To see how the Tv or Film industry works, for contacts, good money and excuse for escaping from my routine.

僕は今まで一度もロンドンのツアーバスに乗った事がなかった。
2階建てバスの上の階は天上がなく開放的で、前から乗りたかったのだけれど、観光客のようで恥ずかしいから乗る気は一切無かった。乗ることは無いだろうと思っていたけれどこの前そのバスに乗った。時々やっているエキストラの仕事で乗ることができた。テレビやフィルムがどのようにつくられているかをみることができ、人脈も広がり、更に給料もよく、自分の日常から逃れるこ言い訳で時々参加する。

I went to Lion King staff leaving Party. The most successful Theatre plays in London. There were full of South African People. I have not actually seen the show, so it is quite strange to see the inside of it. I felt just a normal people around. The Lion Queen was very easy to talk, she is from Sri Lanka and she will go back and try to open the theatre play school. She wants to introduce English way of teaching skills. Some actor and actress quit the job completely and they quit the acting as well. It is encourage to hear the story of Lion Queen actress, to use the skill to make another project to gain other skills or encourage others to join the same field.

先日ロンドンで最も成功を収めた演劇、ライオンキングのスタッフのお別れパーティーに足を運んできた。会場には南アフリカの人々で溢れていて、僕は実際ライオンキングを鑑賞したことがなかったので、その空間の中がすごく不思議な感じがした。
なんていうか、ただの普通の人がまわりにいるようだった。ライオンの女王役のスリランカ人女性はとても話しやすく、彼女はスリランカに戻って演劇のスクールを開くということを聞いた。また、英国の演劇を紹介したいとも言っていた。
そこにいた俳優さん、女優さんはその役も演劇自体も完全に辞めてしまうようだったが、
自分の現在持っているスキルを活かしたうえで新しい技術を育て、更に新たなプロジェクトを企て、同じ演劇というフィールドにいる人たちを励ます彼女にとても勇気付けられた。

This made me so surprised so I posted it.
There is a song that James Iha(from Smashing Pumpkins) offered Chara(Japanese Artist). He also participated in the music video.
Sounds really the Smashing Pumpkins!
It makes me confuse whether Billy influences Jemes or Jemes influences Billy after I have listened to this music.
Though I think that this is a taste of James at least.
I feel a little that a song “skirt” sounds Billy taste.
What was the problem between James Iha and Billy? They seemed to have a fight before their band broken up.

日本はなぜ真実を隠すのでしょうか？10年ほど前にルーシー・ブラックマンというイギリス人女性が日本人男性に殺されました。しかしイギリスに来て6年くらいたった後殺害した男性の国籍は韓国人と書かれていました。日本にいたときはそんな事は一切報道されていません。殺人を犯した人の身元を隠す必要があるのでしょうか？これは韓国人を差別する要素にはならないはずです。イギリスでテロが起きたときもパキスタン出身のイギリス人など元の国籍は発表されませんでした。殺人を犯した人間を憎むのではなく、原因をつきとめる事に意味があるのではないでしょうか？たとえ誰かが虐殺をしたとして彼らのせいにしても何も問題解決になりません。犯罪者を作り上げているのは社会で、犯罪者だけを責めて、中身をみなくては解決には繋がらないと思います。

Why Japanese people hide the fact. 10years ago, Lucie Blackman, who was an English girl, was murdered by a Japanese guy. It was about 6 years later since I came in England, I found an article on the newspaper about the murderer. According to this, his nationality is South Korean. But it wasn’t reported at all in media in Japan. Why does they need to hide his identity? I think this cannot be an element of discriminates toward the South Korean people, but when terrorism event happened in Britain, they were announced that they are English originally from Pakistan. We shouldn't only hate the murderers, we should look at the meaning behind the event. Even if someone slaughtered people and people just accused this murderer we wouldn't solve the real problem. It is a society that makes up the criminal. So I think if we blame on only the criminal without seeing contents of the fact behind, we cannot reach to the solution.

As an image, woman is the icon of beauty, pure, grace, beautiful and giving love to people. Man is strong, protecting family, working and training to develop inner mind for his life.
This is just my image. I am sure other people have different image for both.The men’s image which could be roughness, wildness, strength and women’s pure and clean image, both of them use them as their weapon and shield.
Prostitution or some sort, there are many on internet, because it can be good business.Perhaps, men are not wild(dirty) or women are pure, but those people try to expand the image and play the game with those tools. An woman who feels pleasure because she is going to be dirtier or A man who feels good to make women dirty.
To break the image of pureness that is the act of destroy, so they feel pleasure. They want to connect sexual idea with them. Human beings need that stimulation so much?
If they can step back and see themselves very carefully. They will realise that sex is not that dirty, they create the image of dirtiness and forbidden idea of sex by their tools. If there is a love, sex is no longer dirty or forbidden.

女性のイメージは美の象徴。そして清らかであり、おしとやかであり、美しく、愛を与える。男性は力強く、家族を守り、仕事をし、内面を育てる訓練に人生をつくす。
これは僕の見解で人によって違うであろう男性は男性の荒々しさ、そして強さ、そして女性は女性の清らかで清伯なイメージというものを男性、女性両方が武器また防具にしている気がする。
風俗や性を売る商売。お金になるからインターネットにもはびこる。欲求を売り物にして。男性は汚くもなく、女性も清らかでもないのかもしれない。でもそれを大げさにし、男性と女性でゲームをプレイしている様。　自身が汚れることに快感を持つ女性、汚れているものが自分の世界に入る快感。汚れさせることに快感を持つ男性。
イメージを打ち砕こうとするからそれが破壊行為として快感を感じる。そこに性を結びつけようとする。人間にはそんなに刺激が必要なのだろうか。一歩下がって自分を冷静に見たら。性というものは自分が思っているより汚くもなく、イメージを道具により汚れさせ、またその作られたイメージを使うことが間違っているとわかるだろう。健康的な愛がそこにあれば、どんなことがあっても性というものは汚らしいものではないと思う。

Rufas Theatre/ London Report

My friend has got a free ticket of a theatre play(opera) at Sadler's Wells. Rufas Wainwrights is the composer of this play. I am not big fan of him, but I like this song. I do not really like how he performs… better just listen to the music.

The show was really horrible. Last song was quite nice, but the story was not impressive… well everything was not the greatest…. I would say 32 out of 100… I do not think Rufus is very popular but it makes people understand he does opera… I felt a limitation of pop singer does something different… like Johh Greenwood does classical piece. Probably I might do in the future (classic even if I am not trained at all ) but sometimes we should be in the position we should be,,, well people will judge anyway… I just do not like the idea to advertise some show just because pop singer composed… I think direction or writing is more important on theatre… This was the most boring opera I have ever seen.

When I was walking on the street, a middle aged English guy come towards me and saying “you are looking like a fucking poof!” then he grab my arms. “you look like a poof” I was like… “poof?” and he said poof! English Pub lunch

English food is horrible, that is the reputation in the world, but I went very nice pub restaurant where is on broadway market in East London. It is popular place so I went Sunday lunch time. We ordered sausages and blue cheese mash with bread and grilled sea bass. Just came back from Japan, and was afraid to come back because of food, but I actually felt that I had not had nice lunch as this for a long time, so what did I eat in Japan??? I guess I’ ve already forgotten. Nice at home atmosphere, slightly dark but doesn’t bother me. Every time I come these kind of nice places, I always want my family to be here. I found most of the waitress and waiter are Thai, perhaps chef is also Thai? Thai people cook English food.

well, I did not know this news, one of the Celebrities has been arrested cos of drug taking.
I live in England, each country has each rules. And moral changing according where you live.
Heroin? Cocaine? OH MY goodness! That ‘s Japanese people will think in Japan.
But no, 1/4 of people have the experience with certain illegal drugs in England, and in Netherlands,,, it’s not Illegal!
I was so sensitive about drug when I came to London., I was so shocked about what is going on here. Well about drugs… it was difficult to find someone who is not taking drugs…
The interesting thing here is Moral changes in each countries.
In Iran, if married woman work with a man who is not her husband, she will get prosecuted…
Human right people..(whatever they called) will against that. But in Iran is normal. I do not want to believe what is happening in Iran but that’s there moral, why the other people have another right to force their right???
Each country somehow… has a balance… democracy does not mean we are equal…
As communist is not perfectly equal…

I m against that men only have a certain right… but maybe some people want to have many wives at the same time… if someone might think that is normal in natural world…
I think Moral or Law has only been made by someone has a power…
Perhaps they listen to the opinion of weak civilians.

all the words by Powerful men can be the truth.
Religion is the same, Gay were criminal. Black people did not have a right.
It is still the same in different way. You just do not realize it…
People do not have money, people from some countries where they supposed to be dangerous country can be discriminated.
Even in Japan we have.

Calling Bar tender , ice and crushed ice… ordered! Rum, gin, bourbon, fruit and fruit juice.. well etc. etc.

Got around 40 guest in the house party.

Full volume of music from the night to next morning. I do not like noisy party, but seems like many people are coming to the noisy party. Well loud party. If we say there are some loudness or aggressiveness in the party, they come… I want to do dinner party, but not so many , it will be too much to cook…

In Japan, it ll be different, if you do this kind of party, neighbour will complain and we will be outside the house next morning by landlord…
Individuality again. They do so I do and I want to do...

バーテンダーを呼び込んで　氷とクラッシュドアイス20kgを頼み、ラム、ジン、バーボン、フルーツとフルーツジュースなどなど。計40人のハウスパーティーをしました。

夜から次の日まで、音楽フルヴォリューム。僕はうるさいのは嫌いですが、ロンドンはやかましいパーティーに人が来るのが一般的（？）。　　やかましい感じになると伝えると人が来る。ディナーパーティーというと人は来ない。でも大勢でディナーパーティーは大変なので。しばらくはしません。。。

日本だったら次の日即刻　退去命令を隣人から食らうでしょうが。ロンドンはなぜか大丈夫。

これも個人主義のせいですね。向こうもやるからこっちもやる。やりたいからやる。

there are Japanese students who came from Japan.

It is very normal thing. but they studied Japanese history, language
there are things that we do not have to explain between us.

There are always common things if we grew up at the same place...
even if we stayed other place for a long time.
　　
this applies for anyone who lives in the foreign country and. who study at the language school, study philosophy at the university, wives of business men for foreign business

after I live so long and away from Japan. I feel like those people are welled from somewhere..

even if they said where are they from in Japan. I don get the idea..

all the Japanese People who hates Japan, people who love Japan and want to go back immediately, they have the common feeling between them.

when you see their face, how they dress, we can see they are foreigner of this country

various feeling in their mind, and packed their culture in their heart...
if you are in foreign country, you have many discovery.

Japan(any country) should encourage people to go abroad.
but they should have the great home make people to come back.
beautiful culture and society

heard that many English moves away from their country.

All the Japanese people who live in Japan go abroad and
see Japan with different angle
we can make "A" Japan what we want to be

今日　ドローイングの授業をして。
ふと思う。
日本からきて　ぼくのドローイングの教室に来ている人たちが居る。

当たり前のことだけれど彼らは日本から来たわけだ。
日本で生まれ育って日本の歴史、言語を勉強して。
僕らの間で説明をしなくてもわかりあう文化や社会を知っている。

どんなに長く国を離れていても生まれ育った場所が同じであれば
共通のものがある

海外で語学学校で勉強している人も、大学で哲学を勉強しているも、駐在員の奥さんも
みんな同じだ。

長く住むんでいると彼らがロンドンのどこからか沸いてきた気がするときがある。

どこどこ出身でといわれてもピンとこない

日本が嫌いでここにきたひとも　日本が好きですぐに日本へ帰りたい人も

皆おなじ　共通の感覚があることが不思議だ。
僕らだけでなくて。インド人もナイジェリア人もコロンビア人もそれは同じだ。

顔を見て　服装をみて　現地の人とちがうだけで彼らは外国から来たことと分かる。

いろいろな思いがあってまた自分の文化を心に詰め込んで。

海外にいれば日本に居たら感じないことはたくさんあると思う。

日本の政府が国民に海外に出るように援助すべきだ。
もちろん　帰ってくることが前提で、
帰ってきたくなる　文化や社会がある前提で。

イギリス人はどんどん海外に移住しているようだ。

イギリスに来た日本人もほとんどのひとが日本に帰りたくないという。
日本に居るみんなが　海外に出て　日本のことをわかれば
もっといい　日本が作れると思う。
